Description
Each week there will be a safety meeting for the electrical department. The meeting has a safety curriculum, and a safety video that are covered with the students. Accident reports and unsafe condition reports are reviewed. Safety demonstrations are performed to show the correct way to use tools, ladders, scaffoldings and other equipment needed in the electrical trade. Industrial product representtives also demonstrate their product lines such as cad-welding, powder actuated fastening systems, and GFCI protection. The students elect safety officers to represent the electrical program a a monthly safety committee meeting for the entire school.
