- A passing score of 60% or above is required for the algebra assessment.
- Applicants who fail the assessment on the first attempt have a mandatory waiting period of one day before retaking the assessment.
- Applicants who fail two consecutive algebra assessment attempts will be directed to complete the following online course ($95 version) before retaking the algebra assessment. Proof of course completion is required for retesting. https://www.universalclass.com/i/course/basic-algebra-101.htm
- Applicants that pass the algebra assessment with a score between 60-72% will be assigned mandatory tutoring once class starts, once a week for ten weeks.
- Once an assessment is passed, scores will be valid for two years from the date of completion. The entire assessment must be passed and completed within a six-month period. If the assessment is not passed in six months, applicants will be required to restart the assessment process from the beginning. Changing programs may require the applicant to take additional assessment or restart the assessment process.
- Missing three assessment appointments will result in the loss of advanced assessment scheduling.
- In lieu of completing the assessment requirement, a copy of an official HS transcript that lists a math level—Algebra II or collegiate level equivalent course, with a passing grade of a “C” or higher is required. The course must be completed within 5 years from the enrollment date. Transcripts without specific Algebra II course descriptions need further approval by a school official/Department Head.
